Bio

Timothy Mills is a recent University of Guelph Mechanical Engineering graduate who will be returning to Guelph to work on a Master of Applied Science. He is from Peterborough and has sought to leverage his engineering knowledge and skills through a manufacturing start-up. 3D Casting designs, prototypes, and manufactures plastic and aluminum parts. If it is smaller than a Tim Hortons medium coffee cup, he can make it.

"3D Casting" is a portmanteau of "3D printing" and "investment casting," two technologies that drive the creative process. When clients request a 3D model in plastic, Timothy 3D prints the part directly. When clients specify aluminum as the material, Timothy prints a wax positive to create a mold. He then casts molten aluminum into the mold.
